How we make money
Home Water Damage Help is paid when a reader calls a provider through one of the phone numbers on this site. This page explains how that works.
How calls work
- You tap or dial a phone number on one of our guides.
- The call goes through MarketCall, a call-tracking network. MarketCall connects it to an independent water damage restoration or mold remediation company that participates in its network and serves your area.
- If the call meets the network's rules (for example, it lasts long enough and you are a homeowner looking for service), we are paid a fee. The amount varies by location and by the provider's bid.
What this means for you
- Calling costs you nothing extra. Any price for the work comes from the provider you speak with.
- We do not choose which company answers, and we do not employ, license, inspect or endorse providers. Check a company's license and insurance before you hire, and ask for a written, itemized estimate.
- Calls may be recorded by the network or the provider.
- You never have to call through us. You can find and contact providers on your own.
What it does not change
Being paid for calls does not change what our guides say. Each page explains what you can safely do yourself, and we only suggest calling a professional where a public source supports it, such as mold larger than about 10 square feet, sewage water, or materials that stay wet past 24 to 48 hours. We do not publish reviews, ratings or rankings of providers.
